Mob Boss Joseph "Skinny Joey" Merlino was arrested at his home in Florida this morning as the feds dropped the hammer in a multi-state, multi-defendant organized crime case.Merlino, 54, was part of a massive roundup in which more than 40 members and associates were taken into custody. Indictments brought by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York offered a shopping list of crimes ranging from gambling, loan-sharking and extortion to medical insurance fraud and untaxed cigarettes.

Also being a felon its not easy to go find a job that pays the bills .The government just continues to trample on this mans privacy they brought a case up against him last yr right before his probation was up. A case should not be made by a bunch of guys who turn government witness just to save there self. We saw how well last Philly trial went against uncle Joe when they relied on rats they couldn't get a conviction so they had to drop it

DeleteLook at the last trial in Philly couple years ago the case was mostly built by a couple rats and it ended in hung jury and they figured let's not try this case for a third time . With the way guys rat these days I find it hard to believe that IF joey was involved in any criminal activity that he would be caught on tapes .Me personally feel its just another way for the government to harass joey .
